Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Electrical Designer II to design and document electrical systems for water-cooled and air-cooled chiller products. You will use CAD tools to develop schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts and supporting docs for new product development and manufacturing support.

Reporting to a Lead Designer, you’ll collaborate with a senior design team to ensure quality, performance and continuous improvement, while applying CAD best practices and design standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in design/engineering tech or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Customer driven and quality minded in performance of duties.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs and documentation using CAD/PLM systems.
• Document parts and bills of materials (BOM).
• Lead small segments of large projects to completion and check for errors.
• Develop working knowledge of design and drafting standards and processes.
• Maintain proficiency in CAD systems through training.
• Adhere to safety and security policies; travel may be required.
