Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA is seeking a Childwatch Leader to assist in planning and supervising Childwatch programs, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children. You will help implement activities, monitor attendance, and support HEPA standards while delivering excellent customer service to families.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, able to obtain a background clearance if over 18, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Ability to obtain a criminal background clearance if over 18
• Prior childwatch or childcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, supervising, and implementing Childwatch programs according to procedures
• Provide quality care and supervision to children
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and track attendance
• Support HEPA standards in activities and meals when applicable
• Set up and clean program areas and assist with lesson plans
