Job summary

Soccer Shots Austin is seeking a Youth Soccer Coach/Instructor for weekend classes in the greater Austin area. This role is focused on providing noncompetitive soccer instruction to children while fostering a supportive and fun environment.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys working with children. Coaches must commit to a season schedule and be able to manage groups of up to 12 kids effectively. Compensation ranges from $20-$30/hour after training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
• Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check.
• Fully authorized to work in the US.
• Currently CPR & First Aid certified or able to become certified.
• Currently resides in the greater Austin metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct noncompetitive soccer classes for children on weekends.
• Ensure fun and safe environment while managing classes of up to 12 children.
• Commit to a full seasonal schedule (8-10 weeks).

POSITION: YOUTH SOCCER COACH/INSTRUCTOR (Weekend Coach)

POSITION DETAILS

Soccer Shots offers noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes (“sessions”) on a weekly basis at parks, preschools, daycares, indoor facilities, and elementary schools around the greater Austin area. Schedules are created seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and determined based on one’s availability and location. Coaches must be able to commit to an entire season schedule (8-10 weeks)

HOURS: Weekend shifts generally run from 8:30-11:30 a.m on Saturday and Sunday, with some afternoon shifts on Sundays from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Session times may vary depending on enrollment. Additional shifts available throughout the week if requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License
• Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check
• Fully authorized to work in the US without restriction
• Currently live in the greater Austin metropolitan area
• Currently certified or able to become CPR & First Aid certified
• Coaching or childhood education experience preferred
