Job summary

Soccer Shots Austin is hiring a Youth Soccer Coach/Instructor for part-time roles in the Austin area. Coaches will deliver engaging soccer sessions while positively impacting children's lives. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic and have a background in sports or childhood education. Offers flexible scheduling, leadership training, and a supportive team environment. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
• Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check.
• Fully authorized to work in the US.
• Currently live in the greater Austin metropolitan area.
• Spanish proficiency/fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly noncompetitive introductory soccer sessions at various locations.
• Commit to a seasonal schedule with availability for at least 3 half-days a week.
• Work effectively with children, managing classes of up to 12.

POSITION

YOUTH SOCCER COACH/INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)

POSITION DETAILS

Soccer Shots offers noncompetitive, introductory soccer classes (“sessions”) on a weekly basis at parks, preschools, daycares, indoor facilities, and elementary schools around the greater Austin area. Schedules are created seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and determined based on one’s availability and location. Coaches must be able to commit to an entire season schedule with priority given to those who are available at least 3 half‑days out of the week (or a minimum of 8 hours a week).

HOURS

Afternoon shift times generally run from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Midday shift times are also available depending on the site (11:30-2:30 p.m.). Session times may vary depending on enrollment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License
• Pass an FBI Criminal Background Check
• Fully authorized to work in the US without restrictionCurrently live in the greater Austin metropolitan area
• Currently certified or able to become CPR & First Aid certified
• Coaching or childhood education experience preferred
• Spanish proficiency/fluency is a plus
