Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Children’s Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our integrated Children’s Therapies Team. The role covers early years and school years with hybrid clinic and community sessions.

You will support AAC and dysphagia, work towards outcomes, and develop care plans with families and schools. Regular supervision and multidisciplinary collaboration are provided to develop specialist skills.

Qualifications

• Experience/an interest in supporting AAC and dysphagia across settings.
• Band 6 post in permanent capacity across early years and school years teams.
• Hybrid working pattern with clinics and community sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement SLT interventions focusing on AAC and dysphagia.
• Deliver evidence-based SLT interventions to achieve health outcomes.
• Develop integrated care plans with child, family and school partners.
• Collaborate with Therapy Assistants, OTs, PTs, SLTs, Care Co-ordinators and Specialist Nurse Advisors.
• Manage a caseload of children with complex needs.
