Job summary

The City of San Bernardino seeks a Librarian I/II with a focus on Children’s Services at the Feldheym Central Library. You will plan programs, oversee services for children, and collaborate with branch supervisors to support strong early literacy efforts.

Ideal candidates will develop age-appropriate programs, manage collections for youth, and engage schools and community groups. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to serve a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science from an accredited college.
• California driver's license may be required (see Licenses section).

Responsibilities

• Plan and present engaging children's programs, story times, craft workshops, and summer reading events for ages infancy through preteen.
• Evaluate and maintain children’s collections, digital resources, and materials suitable for young patrons.
