Max & Mia Childrens Salon is seeking a skilled Children's Salon Hairstylist/Barber to bring creativity, care, and confidence to every child. You will perform age-appropriate haircuts, styling, and hair care while helping children feel comfortable and guiding caregivers.

Maintain a clean, welcoming salon, assist with front desk tasks, and upsell suitable products. Mangomint experience is a plus; MA Cosmetology or Barbering license preferred.

Competenze

• Experience in the beauty industry with cosmetology, barbering, hair styling, and client care.
• Familiarity with salon software (Mangomint) and front desk tasks is a plus.
• Follow licensing and safety requirements for performed services.

Children's Salon Hairstylist/Barber

Job Description

Bring creativity, care, and confidence to every appointment as a Children's Salon Hairstylist/Barber.

You’ll provide age-appropriate hair services, help children feel comfortable, and guide caregivers through care and styling options. Your impact: Thoughtful consultations and skilled services help children leave feeling comfortable and caregivers feel informed about maintaining their hair.

Duties

• Consult with children and caregivers, explain service options, and deliver haircuts, hair styling, coloring, and hair care services suited to each client.
• Apply barbering techniques, including straight razor services when appropriate and permitted, and use color theory to support hair-color choices.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming salon; follow sanitation practices and prepare tools and stations between clients.
• Support front desk tasks, appointments, and salon software; experience with Mangomint is a plus.
• Recommend suitable products and services through helpful retail sales and upselling; assist with store management, retail math, and mentoring as needed.

Experience

• Experience working in the beauty industry, with skills in cosmetology, barbering, hair styling, hair care, customer service, communication, and client communication.
• Familiarity with salon software and Mangomint is preferred; experience with front desk duties, retail sales, sanitation, store management, mentoring, retail math, and upselling is also valuable.
• Follow applicable licensing and safety requirements for the services you perform.
• MA Cosmetology or Barbering License (Preferred).
