Job Description

Bring creativity and care to every client appointment as a Stylist.

You'll provide personalized beauty services, listen closely to client preferences, and help clients choose looks and products that suit their needs. This role may include hair styling, coloring, barbering, makeup, nail care, threading, and extensions, depending on your experience and the services offered.

Duties

• Consult with clients, recommend suitable services, and communicate clearly throughout each appointment.
• Perform hair care and styling services, including coloring, straight-razor barbering, hair threading, and hair or eyelash extensions, as qualified.
• Apply makeup and provide nail care when these services are offered.
• Maintain clean tools and work areas, follow sanitation practices, and manage appointments and client records using salon software such as MINDBODY.
• Support retail sales through product recommendations and thoughtful upselling; assist with store management or mentor colleagues as needed.
• By matching services and product recommendations to each client's goals, you help clients feel confident and cared for.

Skills

• Essential: Strong customer service, communication, and client communication skills; knowledge of hair care, hair styling, sanitation, and cosmetology.
• Preferred: Experience working in the beauty industry; hair coloring, color theory, barbering, straight-razor, hair threading, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, or nail care skills.
• Familiarity with salon software, including MINDBODY, is helpful.
• Retail sales, upselling, retail math, store management, and mentoring experience are valued.
