Atrium is seeking a Children’s Associate Designer in New York to support the development of children’s apparel from concept through samples. You will collaborate with Senior Designers and cross‑functional teams to translate ideas into presentations and product specs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a related design role, proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, and a strong eye for color, detail, and brand aesthetics. This is a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a related design role.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of design and product development.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of children’s apparel across assigned categories.
• Create concept sketches, mood boards, color palettes, patterns, graphics, and product presentations.
• Develop and maintain product specifications, design files, technical drawings, and presentation materials.
• Research children’s fashion trends, colors, materials, characters, themes, and competitive products.
• Collaborate with Senior Designers, Product Development, Sourcing, and vendors.
• Assist with prototypes, samples, revisions, and product reviews.
• Incorporate feedback while maintaining the overall design vision and brand aesthetic.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
