Job summary

Confidential in New York, NY is seeking an Associate Designer to create commercially strong, trend-right children’s apparel from concept to development. This role requires strong technical design skills, excellent taste, and the ability to balance creativity with costing and timelines.

You will work closely with merchandising, production, sourcing, technical design, and sales to develop seasonal collections that meet brand direction, customer expectations, and delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of apparel design experience, preferably in children's apparel.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric, trims, fit and color development.
• Excellent Illustrator and Photoshop skills required.
• Experience with PLM/ERP or product lifecycle software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and concept development for seasonal children’s apparel collections.
• Develop detailed tech packs with sketches, construction details, and colorways.
• Collaborate with merchandising, production, sourcing and sales teams.
• Attend fittings and provide comments on styling, proportion, and design intent.
