Our client, an apparel company, is looking for an Assistant Kids Designer to join their girls team in NYC!

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain fabric organization and prepare purchase orders for materials.
• Communicate with factories to track and follow up on showroom sample development.
• Support the design team throughout the full product development lifecycle.
• Identify and source trims and materials from international vendors.
• Help senior designers prepare and organize line sheets.
• Revise and maintain tech packs, including labels and trims, for both development and production.
• Review samples with senior designers and send production approval feedback to vendors.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in fashion design, ideally with a girls/kids focus.
• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Solid knowledge of garment construction and patternmaking principles.
• Familiarity with print layout is a plus.
• Experience with 3D tools and AI-based design platforms required.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to adjust priorities quickly.
• Clear communicator who collaborates effectively with design and production partners.
