Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a friendly and patient Ambassador to greet families and guide them through the facility, ensuring a calm, supportive first impression.

You will screen guests, assist with navigation, transport patients safely, and help keep mobility aids accessible throughout the building. This role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management.
  • Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
  • Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity.
  • Critical thinking to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Scheduling Requirements
  • On‑call shift: Required approximately once every two weeks. This is a paid “stand by” shift for illness replacement. Coverage includes 1st and 2nd shift on Saturday and Sunday. 3rd shift on‑call coverage is required seven days a week.
  • Weekend availability: Every other weekend is required.
  • Holiday rotation: Participation in a holiday rotation is required.
