Job summary

Susquehanna County is seeking a County Social Services Aide I to support Children and Youth Caseworkers by helping clients and families with daily tasks, transportation, and important appointments. This full-time position runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday with a 30-minute lunch; telework is not available.

Duties include escorting clients to appointments, assisting with home care, meal planning, budgeting, and basic living activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to medical, dental, court, foster home, and other scheduled appointments.
• Support families with home care, meal planning, budgeting, childcare, and basic living activities.
• Provide basic information to clients and help maintain communication when appointments are missed.
• Supervise children during office visits and in crisis situations inside the home.
• Pick up and deliver equipment, clothing, and other client belongings.
• Complete routine clerical tasks and maintain order in waiting and visiting areas.
