Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Teaching Assistant for B’nai Jehudah CDC in Overland Park. This part‑time role supports classrooms for infants and toddlers, collaborates with teachers to supervise children, and helps maintain a safe, engaging learning environment. Job Overview

Join an amazing team of educators at B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. B’nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers full‑time preschool care for children ages 12 months through 2 years and full‑time infant care for ages 6 weeks to 1 year. The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

Schedule

Part‑time, Monday–Friday 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm.

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2–5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
