Job summary

The J is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center team in Overland Park, KS. This full‑time role supports teachers, supervises children, and helps maintain a safe, engaging classroom for ages 6 weeks to 2 years in an inclusive Jewish community setting.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm. Benefits include free individual membership to The J, access to education opportunities, and discounts on various activities.

Join an amazing team of educators at B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. B’nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers full time preschool care for children ages 12 months through 2 years and full time infant care for ages 6 weeks to 1 year.

The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

Schedule

• Full-time working Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.
