Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is hiring a part-time Teaching Assistant for the B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center in Overland Park. You’ll support teachers, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Join an amazing team of educators at B’nai Jehudah Child Development Center, a partnership between The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. B’nai Jehudah CDC is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community that offers full time preschool care for children ages 12 months through 2 years and full time infant care for ages 6 weeks to 1 year.

The Teaching Assistant helps to provide a safe, nurturing, and exciting learning environment. Teaching Assistants collaborate with Teachers to supervise children, keep the classroom organized, and communicate with parents.

Schedule

• Part-time working Monday-Friday 12:30pm-5:30pm

Physical Requirements

Job requires frequent (2-5 hours per shift) standing, walking, carrying and repetitive motions and occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) sitting, lifting up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing and stooping/crouching.

Salary Description
