Job summary

Cornerstone Learning Center in East Memphis is seeking a Lead Teacher to support our Twos program. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks are required; childcare experience is a plus.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm with compensation of $15–$16 per hour based on education and experience. We offer a family-oriented workplace with competitive pay, paid trainings, a 401k with match, childcare discounts, and an open-door policy.

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development.
• Take initiative, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Createandmaintainan environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family toprovidequality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
