Job summary

Community Action Program for Central Arkansas, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen/Nutrition Assistant to support Early Childhood operations. You will assist with meal preparation, including infant formula, and ensure compliance with USDA CACFP while keeping a clean, sanitary kitchen.

You will also help with inventory, data recording, ordering, and occasional classroom assistance. A ServSafe certification and a valid driver’s license help, and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in food service.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of USDA CACFP requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and infant formula; clean dishes and utensils.
• Follow USDA CACFP requirements.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and proper food storage.
• Document nutrition reports and inventory.
• Place food orders and transport food to sites as needed.
• Obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification.
