Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking a Bus Driver in Wilson, North Carolina. You will provide safe, reliable transportation for students and may support classrooms with your Lead Teacher. You will help create a warm, engaging learning environment and build strong relationships with families.

The role emphasizes safety, communication, and teamwork to support early childhood education across our centers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to safety.
• Strong communication with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
• Clean driving record.
• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide on time, safe and reliable transportation for before/after school programs.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
• Maintain a safe Bus environment.
