Job summary

Mill Creek Country Day School is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Twos age group. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass all background checks are required, with prior childcare experience preferred.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm with compensation of $15–$16 per hour. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings, and a generous benefits package including Dental, Medical, and Vision Insurance, plus a 401k with match.

MainJob Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child's growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
