Job summary

Building Blocks for Tots is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support our Toddler age group. A high school diploma and completion of EDU 119, a CDA certificate, or some early childhood education coursework are required, along with the ability to pass all background checks. Prior toddler experience is a plus.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm shift, compensation of $14–15 per hour based on education and experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and CDA certificate or EDU 119/ECE coursework.
• Background checks required.
• Experience with toddlers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities encouraging growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and improve as needed for the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work with small children and lift up to 40 lbs.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma, and completion of EDU 119, a CDA certificate, or some early childhood education coursework, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous experience working with toddlers!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Compensation: $14-15/hr, based on education and experience
