Job summary

Child Development Schools North Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Benson, North Carolina. You will assist the Lead Teacher to create a nurturing classroom, engage with children, and communicate with families to support curiosity and growth.

You will help with daily activities, maintain a safe classroom, and support documentation and planning to meet licensing requirements. This role emphasizes character and training for skill development in early childhood education.

Assistant Teacher - Benson, North Carolina

Your role

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements

Pay and benefits

Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.

Requirements

A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education and prior experience in a licensed childcare center are a plus, but not required . We hire for character and train for skill.
