Trinity Lutheran Academy in Athens, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating a caring, safe classroom and to help deliver a quality educational program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

You will document children's progress and communicate with families, model good hygiene, and assist with daily transitions. The role requires faith profession, fingerprinting background check, 18+ years, and reliable transportation.

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Must clear full background check with fingerprinting.
• Must have reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

About This Role

The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. They must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the Assistant Teacher observes and documents children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Assistant Teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Lead Teacher.

This position requires the coordination and implementation of all classroom activities and safety guidelines according to National Lutheran Schools Accreditation standards. Trinity Lutheran Academy is a Christian preschool. A background check with fingerprinting will be required.

• Monday - Friday | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
