Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working in group programs with children/youth.
• Completion of Entry Level DoW standardized training courses OR equivalent training OR six (6) semester hours of college credit in early childhood, elementary, or secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children/youth during daily routines and activities.
• Implements planned developmentally appropriate activities using curriculum and materials.
• Assists in arranging snacks or meals.
• Identifies and responds to emergency situations including evacuations and illness.
• May work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate schedules.
