Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command seeks a Child and Youth Program Training and Curriculum Specialist to design, deliver, and monitor comprehensive staff training across Navy CYP facilities. You will coordinate with subject matter experts, ensure DoD certification, and align training with developmentally appropriate curricula for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years.

You will maintain training records, support professional growth, and partner with local colleges to promote continuing education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education is required.
• Three years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth is required.
• Courses in a child-related field totaling at least 24 higher level semester hours are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive CYP training program.
• Arrange for subject matter experts to conduct specialized training as needed.
• Coordinate with CYP Directors to establish training plans and ensure scheduled learning opportunities.
• Maintain training records and individual development plans; monitor progress and performance.
• Provide training to ensure compliance with fire, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations.
• Support continuation of education through tuition assistance and partnerships with local colleges.
