Job summary

The University of Minnesota's Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW) seeks a temporary community trainer to deliver PACC and PLX curriculum to county and tribal child welfare professionals and related fields. This casual role may be renewed for up to two years.

Training sessions are scheduled by CASCW in collaboration with PACC and PLX programs. The position emphasizes culturally responsive, competency‑based instruction, with responsibilities in classroom facilitation, preparation,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work or a closely related field.
At least five years in social services, with three years of facilitating training or instruction.
Commitment to inclusive, equitable learning environments that honor diverse identities.
Ability to engage learners across diverse styles for accessible training.

Responsibilities

Lead classroom training for multidisciplinary professionals (75%).
Prepare and organize curriculum materials and prerequisites (20%).
Coordinate with program staff to ensure logistics and optimal learning environment (logistics, tech, space).
Engage in Training of Trainers sessions and provide coaching feedback (5%).
