Job summary

The State of Georgia, Department of Human Services (DHS) DFCS in DeKalb County seeks a Child Welfare Services Case Supervisor to oversee a team delivering investigations and comprehensive case management for at-risk children and families.

You will coordinate services, develop case plans, work with legal authorities, and ensure safety. A Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience are required; a Master’s degree plus supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of related case management experience.
• Alternative: one year at a lower level Child Welfare Svcs Case Mgr 3 or equivalent.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in social work or behavioral science with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
• Coordinates and monitors services and client placements.
• Develops case plans utilizing community resources to meet client needs.
• Initiates guardianship, protective services, placement or adoption processes.
• Maintains documentation and completes reports.
