Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years college coursework including 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences; or
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial action plans on new intake calls
• Perform follow-up visits and review existing cases
• Investigate CPS reports to ensure child safety
• Coordinate services that help stabilize and strengthen families
• Monitor family progress toward reunification when possible
• Support permanency options when reunification is not possible

Education

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences

Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework with 12 credits in related social sciences; or

Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in related social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience
