Job summary

The State of Georgia is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 in Elberton. You will respond to screened-in reports of child maltreatment, assess safety concerns, develop safety plans, and coordinate with families to achieve permanency and well‑being. A Bachelor's degree is required for consideration.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Initiate timely, face-to-face responses to screened-in reports of alleged child maltreatment and conduct assessments that identify and address safety concerns.
• Address identified safety concerns by immediately developing and implementing safety plans.
• Conduct diligent search efforts to locate the child/family when unable to make contact.
• Implement SBC (Solution Based Casework).
• Collaborate with children and parents in developing Family Functioning Agreement, Action Plan, and Family Plan to achieve outcomes.
• Establish permanency goals for the child(ren).
• Ensure foster care placements are stable and in the best interests of the child(ren).
• Maintain connections to community, school, faith, and extended family.
