Summary

Responsibilities

  1. Participates in staff development opportunities and maintains child welfare certification through on-going training.
  2. Works cooperatively with our team of case managers and maintains relationships with supervisory staff, community resource providers, children, and families.
  3. Completes case notes, prepares for court activities, develops judicial reviews, assessments, makes referrals, arranges placements, conducts home studies, and facilitates family contacts.
  4. Attends court hearings, testifies concerning case progress, and makes recommendations to the court.
  5. Conducts safety assessments, makes service referrals, arranges emergency services, and conducts home studies.
  6. Facilitates visits between children and their families, maintains face-to-face contacts, and supports foster and adoptive families.
  7. Negotiates subsidy agreements, completes adoption paperwork, and meets adoption goals when applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, with at least one year of relevant experience. Must obtain Child Welfare Certification, possess a valid driver's license, and have computer proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must understand risk factors for child abuse and neglect and have a current Background Clearance Screening Letter.
