Qualifications

Three years of experience in social services; OR six years of full-time experience in any field; OR a bachelor's degree.
Experience substitution: 30 semester hours equals one year of experience; up to 120 hours substitute for four years.

Responsibilities

Initiates and executes legal processes including interviewing clients, relatives, landlords and others to locate absent parents.
Research files and public records to locate parents’ whereabouts and leads.
Explain legal requirements, calculate support payments, determine actions and meet with parents for paternity and child support.
Prepare affidavits and financial audits; initiate subpoenas, petitions and orders.
Attend court in one or more districts.
Perform a high volume of case work for a demanding public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
