Job Duties (in part)
Due to the nature of this position for training, the required work hours are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday through Friday in office, with an hour scheduled for lunch. After training is complete, there may be more schedule flexibility.
Review individuals' case documents and records to determine if a child support order is needed.
Contact agency customers and other service providers to gather information to assist in establishing paternity and to establish and enforce support orders.
Establish, modify, enforce, and provide accounting records for child support orders by deciding needed action.
Apply federal and state laws, rules, and agency policies and procedures.
Verify payments are properly disbursed.
Verify accuracy of any state agency claims against child support.
Request, review, and evaluate paternity declarations to initiate action. Complete and file legal documents to establish paternity.Process modification requests.
Gather wage and health careinformation, research and apply child support guidelines to calculate support obligation.

After one year and upon a successful completion of trial service as a Child Support Case Manager-Entry, employees will meet the minimum qualifications of Child Support Case Manager and be placed in the Child Support Case Manager classification (Salary Range (21) - $4,833- $6,713 monthly. 6% of which is the Public Employees Retirement System contribution).
Current Division of Child Support case managers who are successful finalists will be processed as lateral transfers.
