Job summary

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY seeks a Program Supervisor for Investigations to oversee a unit of specialists, case aides, and support staff. You will direct daily workflows, supervise staff, review cases for safety and compliance, and provide input on assessments and intervention plans.

Training and leadership activities are a core part of the role. You will supervise performance, conduct evaluations, and resolve issues with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws governing child protective services.
• Knowledge of risk assessment practices and procedures.
• Principles and practices of work leadership and management.
• Understanding of guardian and automated systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises and instructs direct reports according to department policies.
• Reviews work products and analyzes facts to ensure child safety and compliance.
• Interviews and trains staff within the unit; develops work schedules.
• Meets monthly with employees to discuss performance and conducts evaluations.
• Responds to questions from customers and stakeholders on policy and procedures.
• Attends meetings, training sessions and contributes to problem solving.
• Produces and distributes reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
