Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety is seeking an Investigator in the Office of Child Welfare Investigations, Pinal County. You will lead high-impact child abuse investigations, conduct home visits, interview families, and collaborate with law enforcement to document findings for safety.

The role requires prior law enforcement or investigative experience, ability to testify in court, and adherence to confidential protocols.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) months Law enforcement experience; AND/OR Eighteen (18) months of experience as an Investigative DCS Specialist with AZ Department of Child Safety OR any Child Safety State Agency
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and clearance of the DCS Central Registry
• Travel within the state may be required

Responsibilities

• Assesses, responds to and conducts investigations involving allegations of criminal conduct against Arizona's children, including serious injury or death cases.
• Accompanies Department of Child Safety Specialists on investigations; documents findings and prepares reports for management.
• Testifies in court regarding OCWI investigations and participates in meetings as required.
