Job summary

The Cumberland County Department of Social Services seeks a Program Manager to develop, implement, monitor and supervise program compliance for Child Protective Services. You will monitor coding of social work time to ensure fiscal policy compliance and participate in a management team across intake, assessments and case management.

The role requires developing programs aligned with statutes, policy and procedures, revising policies as needed and advocating for legislation to strengthen services

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work with at least three years of social work or counseling experience, two in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in social work with four years of social work or counseling experience, two in a supervisory capacity.
• Master’s degree in a counseling field with four years of social work or counseling experience, two in supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Plan programs to meet the needs of a multi‑problem client population and interpret data against policy.
• Develop and revise policies to meet needs of children and families; advocate for related legislation.
• Generate management reports reflecting program and staff effectiveness, fiscal accountability and quality assurance measures.
• Oversee operations of multiple teams delivering child protective services and provide direct supervision to supervisors.
