Job summary

Reports include School Administrator and CNP leadership; position requires supervising food service staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with state and USDA standards. Training and development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and basic academic skills.
• Good health and ability to perform duties.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted and stand for long periods.
• Effective interpersonal communication.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to use POS system and email.
• Capable of being trained in safe food handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct kitchen personnel in safe equipment use.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in compliance with regulations.
• Order and determine daily food quantities from menus.
• Receive orders, verify accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Report injuries to School Administrator and CNP Director; coordinate with them on issues.
• Maintain knowledge of kitchen equipment and report non-working items.
• Train and supervise staff to ensure efficient food prep and service; coordinate meal service and leftovers disposal.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and ensure staff compliance.
• Provide cordial, professional service and good public relations.
• Maintain records required by the CNP.
• Maintain grooming and dress standards for food service.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of work-related information.
• Meet Professional Development Hours and USDA standards; assist staff with training.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
