Job summary

The Chula Vista Elementary School District is seeking a part-time food service worker to support meal preparation, counting, assembling, cooking, heating and serving a variety of meals in a fast-paced school kitchen. Under supervision, you will assist with general cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards, while working closely with school staff and students to deliver safe, nutritious meals.

Qualifications

• Current Resume for both external and internal candidates.
• Evidence of recent successful paid experience in the preparation or serving of food.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to prepare and serve a wide variety of meals.
• Ability to work rapidly and efficiently in performing tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students.
• Apply and maintain high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Sufficient education to have basic skills in reading, bookkeeping and arithmetic.
• Ability to pass Food Handler Permit test upon hire.
