Job summary

The Sheppard Pratt Child Unit in Towson, MD is seeking a part-time Mental Health Worker to support inpatient pediatric care for children ages 5 to 11. The role runs 7pm–7:30am with Every Other Weekend, on a 20-bed unit focused on rapid assessment and stabilization.

Under close supervision by a licensed nurse, you will participate in planning and evaluating patient needs based on individual behaviors. The position offers tuition reimbursement, health benefits, a 403(b) match, generous PTO, EAP,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
An advanced degree in a human services field is strongly preferred, either in progress or already obtained.
Past direct care or related experience is strongly preferred.
For most positions, must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities

Under the close supervision of a licensed nurse, you will play an essential role in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on individual behaviors and conditions.
Begin extended clinical orientation and training immediately following your first day of employment through Sheppard Pratt’s Clinical Education Department.
