Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a Coordinator Child Life Specialist for the Pediatrics program. You will lead, coordinate and evaluate the Child Life services across the system, supervise staff, and collaborate with medical teams and families to ensure comprehensive psychosocial care for hospitalized children and their families.

The role involves program development, training, and partnership with music therapy and foundation teams to advance pediatric services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on human growth and development, education, psychology, or a related field.
• Child Life Specialist Credential required.
• Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship.
• 3–5 years of pediatric hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement and evaluate Child Life services for Elliot Health System.
• Orient, train and supervise new Child Life program staff.
• Collaborate with hiring manager and recruiter to identify candidates and facilitate interviews.
• Provide mentorship and feedback to staff and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Oversee program adherence to policy and procedures.
• Develop and oversee new programming and adherence to ACLP standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff, families, and community to meet pediatric needs.
