Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Child First Clinician to provide family-centered, trauma-informed assessment and treatment for children and families in Onslow County, NC and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes relational, dyadic therapy (CPP) and collaboration with caregivers to improve child emotional and cognitive growth.

Qualifications include full or provisional licenses (LCSW-A, LPC/LCMHC-A, LMFT-A) and experience with diverse families.

Qualifications

  • Child First home-based psychotherapeutic intervention using relational, dyadic psychotherapy (CPP).
  • Experience with diverse families and parent-child therapy (0-5 years).
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Child First home-based therapy with young children and caregivers using CPP.
  • Partner with Family Resource Partner to engage referred families.
  • Provide supervision for licensure and ongoing professional development.

Your Role in Our Mission:

The Child First Clinician partners with a Family Resource Partner to engage families who are referred to the Child First home-based intervention. Child First’s primary goal is to strengthen the caregiver-child relationship so that it serves both as a protective buffer to unavoidable stress and directly facilitates the child’s emotional, language, and cognitive growth. The Clinician uses trauma-informed CPP, a relationship-based, dyadic, parent-child treatment model, which focuses on the primary attachment relationships of the young child.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary: $60,000 to $69,000 for this full-time exempt position.

What We’re Looking For:

To join our team, you must provide Child First home-based psychotherapeutic intervention with young children and their caregivers using relational, dyadic psychotherapy (CPP) and other modalities. We also require:

  • Full or provisional license as an LCSW (A), LPC/LCMHC (A) or LMFT (A) - REQUIRED
  • Experience working psychotherapeutically with culturally diverse children and families, including parent-child therapeutic work and play therapy with very young children (0-5 years).
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
