Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking an Outpatient Therapist in Whiteville, NC to provide person-centered therapy for clients with mental health and/or substance use challenges in our outpatient clinic.

You will conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop meaningful PCPs that reflect each client’s voice, needs, and goals. The role may involve leading therapy groups and using modalities like art therapy, mindfulness, or movement to foster growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree and mental health licensure are required.
• Licensure options include LCSW(A), LCMHC(A), and/or LCAS(A).
• Proficiency with EHR systems and reliable transportation required.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop PCPs.
• Design and lead therapy groups using modalities such as art therapy, mindfulness, or movement.
• Provide person-centered therapy to youth and adults with mental health or substance use challenges.
• Maintain on-site schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Your Role In Our Mission

As an Outpatient Therapist on the team, you’ll play a vital role in helping both youth and adults build brighter, healthier futures. You’ll conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments to develop meaningful treatment goals and person‑centered plans (PCPs) that reflect each client’s unique voice, needs, and aspirations.

You’ll also have the opportunity to design and lead therapy groups, fostering connection and growth. This is a wonderful opportunity to utilize your passions and creativity. Whether that’s art therapy, mindfulness, movement, or other therapeutic approaches.

Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm onsite.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $55,000 - 57,000 for provisional licensure; range for full licensure starts at $58,000+.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: A Master’s degree and mental health licensure are required.
