Job summary

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Skills Coach in Child & Family Developmental Services to coordinate multidisciplinary care for children and families in Evansville, IN. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice or related field.
• Experience with children with dual diagnoses of Serious Emotional Disturbance and Neurodevelopmental Disorder preferred.
• Ability to assess emergency situations and respond therapeutically.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting Indiana minimum coverage; eligible for company vehicle liability.
• Pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for children and families referred to Development Clinic; facilitate referrals and collateral meetings.
• Assist with low barrier access to services for families.
• Provide community-based skills training and development services for children and families.
• Maintain records of services, develop treatment plans and goals with families and referral sources.
• Collect data, file reports timely, and coordinate services with community agencies.
• Attend team meetings with families and multidisciplinary providers; advocate for families with complex needs.
• Participate in ongoing staff training to enhance performance.
• Provide emergency counseling and crisis intervention when needed.
