Fresno City College seeks an instructor to join its part-time faculty pool in Child Development, delivering courses in person and online as needed. Qualifications

• Master’s in child development or related field as required by minimum qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree plus Master’s in related fields or equivalent educational credentials.
• Golden standard in credentials or equivalency as acceptable by the district.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Child Development courses, including supervision of students at site placements.
• Use diverse teaching methods and mid/advanced tech tools for online, hybrid, and face-to-face delivery.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff, and maintain course syllabi and records.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines and evaluate student progress with timely grading and reporting.
• Teach in various instructional settings and fulfill all duties of instructors as required.

Master’s in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education

Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studies

California Community College Credential

Equivalency (valid in lieu of degree)
