Job summary

The Bangor YMCA is looking for a creative and fun Teacher's Aide to support our Child Development programs in Bangor, Maine. This role involves assisting with classroom activities for children aged 12 months to 12 years, focusing on their educational, social, and emotional well-being.

You will assist with reading, supervise swim activities, and communicate with staff to ensure a high-quality program. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Child Development or Education and have relevant experience working with young children.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Child Development/Education or related field.
  • Completion of Maine Early Learning Guidelines Training within 90 days of hire.

  • Participate and monitor swim time activities.
