Job Title: CHILD CARE WORKER

Join to apply for the Child Care Worker role at SCO Family of Services.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing a safe, clean, and caring living environment for program residents.
2. Preparing meals according to the weekly meal planner.
3. Participating in activity programming, including individual and group activities, sports, games, trips, and enrichment activities.
4. Enforcing the program’s daily routine by accurately completing reports, checklists, and daily point sheets.
5. Supporting medical issues, student educational/vocational needs, case work, and clinical appointments.
6. Appropriately confronting negative behavior whenever it occurs.
7. Maintaining professional, positive, and encouraging relationships with residents, family members, and agency staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of HS Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Safety Crisis Management (SCM) training, including a written test and demonstration of physical restraint skills, with ongoing refreshers.
• Prior experience working with adolescents is preferred.
• Experience in child welfare is a plus.
• Ability to provide excellent references.
