Dayton Valley Learning Center in Dayton, NV is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher/Childcare Teacher to join our warm team. You will teach basic skills, supervise daily activities, and support children's social and physical development.

No experience required, but you must LOVE children. We offer health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement savings with employer match, and tuition scholarships for ECE studies through Western Nevada College.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to complete state and federal background check
• TB test prior to first day of hire
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Initial/annual trainings within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition.
• Execute and carry out daily lesson plans and activities.
• Attend to children's needs by feeding, dressing, and diapering.
• Provide diverse materials for exploration and play.
• Read books to groups or classes.
• Organize activities promoting physical, mental, and social development.
• Enforce policies governing students.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for activities.
• Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.
• Serve meals and snacks per guidelines.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet varying needs.
• Establish clear lesson objectives and communicate them to children.
• Demonstrate activities to children.
• Plan a balanced program with instruction and work time.

Job description

We are looking for a full time Preschool Teacher/Childcare Teacher to join our team! All weekends and Holidays off! We now offer dental/vision/health insurance and retirement savings with 100% employer match. Qualifying applicants may also receive Early Childhood Education college tuition scholarships through Western Nevada College. No prior experience necessary, but must LOVE children!!

What You'll Do

• Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
• Execute and carry out daily lesson plans and learning activities.
• Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
• Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.
• Serve meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children.
• Demonstrate activities to children.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills.
