Job summary

Learning Care in Cincinnati is seeking a Food Specialist to prepare home-style, nutritious meals for enrolled children and staff within the school menu and budget.

You will follow the daily menu, ensuring compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations, while maintaining inventory and assisting in classrooms as needed. This role supports our team and daily activities within a childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meals within the school's menu and budget, and prepare meals/snacks for children and staff.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director with USDA/licensing/regulatory compliance.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
