Job summary

KinderCare Education LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in our centers in Colorado Springs. You will ensure food safety, manage supplies, and assist with daily center duties to support enrollment and engagement.

The role requires love for children, food handling knowledge, and accuracy with menus and portions; a Food Handler's license is preferred. Minnesota premium applies to certain shifts; range of pay is listed. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference every day.
• Familiarity with accurate food storage and handling; understand needs of children with allergies.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare portions.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portions.
• Possess a Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain.
• At least 1 year of institutional cooking experience; 2+ years working with children is desirable.
• Able to use a computer and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Read/write/speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medications as requested.
• Complete documentation according to licensing requirements.
• Assist with daily center duties and support center goals.
