Job summary

KinderCare is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in our centers in Colorado Springs. You will follow menus developed by our nutritionist and ensure meals meet safety and portion guidelines.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in institutional cooking, familiarity with food safety, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy center. Benefits include discounted child care and healthcare options.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Knowledge of safe food storage and allergy needs.
• Ability to follow menus and prepare meals for the center.
• Basic math for portion measurement.
• Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least 1 year of institutional cooking; food ordering preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with children preferred.
• Must be able to use a computer; lift up to 40 pounds.
• Read, write, and speak English to communicate with kids and parents.
