Allegheny Health Network is seeking a childcare assistant to support daily classroom operations under the lead teacher, upholding STARS standards and licensing requirements.

The role involves documentation, observations, activity planning, and ensuring a safe learning environment for children in the assigned group. Requires an associate degree in early childhood education or related field and 2 years’ experience, plus CPR and clearances as required.

Formación

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• National Sex Offender Registry is required by the employer.

Responsabilidades

• Uphold policies, standards, and regulations to ensure consistent operations.
• Maintain daily classroom operations in the absence of the lead teacher/group supervisor.
• Assist in care tasks including interacting, feeding, diapering/toileting and documentation.
• Support planning of age-appropriate lesson plans under STARS requirements.
• Write and maintain weekly objective observations across developmental domains.
• Prepare and maintain portfolios for each child including observations and artwork.
• Submit lesson plans by Friday 8:00 AM for the upcoming week.
• Document adaptations for IFSP/IEPs and complete ongoing assessments as required by STARS.
• Create a safe and healthy learning environment and communicate effectively with staff and families.
